VILLANOVA -- Unlike its last contest against the Academy of Notre Dame, Germantown Academy's girls lacrosse team was in control the entire way. Nursing an 11-5 halftime lead, the Patriots held on to top the Irish for the second time this season, 13-11. 

Just like the first time the two teams met, Lucia Smigiel '24 scored five goals to lead the GA attack. The UConn commit added six draw controls, two groundballs, and one assist to her statline. Cate Luviano '24 (Brown) tallied four goals, three draw controls, and three groundballs. Maggie Borek '24 (Navy) dished out four assists and scored twice. 

Gigi Ippoldo '24 (William & Mary) and Hadley Harbert '24 (Hobart and William Smith Colleges - FH) rounded out the scorers for GA. Sadie Hess '25 stood tall in the cage, tallying nine saves.

Germantown Academy returns to action on 4月il 26 when they travel to Manheim Township High School for a 4pm contest.
